Orlando, FL to Consider an Ordinance Affecting Zoning Application Procedures

The City of Orlando proposes to amend the portions of Land Development Code Ch. 65 concerning Administrative Official Determinations. The amendments seek to clarify situations when the Planning, Zoning and Appearance Review Officials may issue Determinations, submittal requirements, review processes, and specify the process to appeal such Determinations. City Code allows the Planning Official, Zoning Official and Appearance Review Official to issue “determinations” in several situations, such as to: • Clarify how a code section applies to a particular property. • Review a minor amendment to an approved Master Plan. • Issue a final site plan approval. • Review a temporary use. • Allow alcohol sales within 300 ft. of a residential property. • Allow a residential care facility in a single-family district. • Allow an accessory use.
