Davie, FL to Consider Ordinance Affecting ROW Maintenance on Private Property
This Amendment of the Town of Davie’s Code of Ordinances to Chapter 6, Article II, Section 6-38 titled, “Maintenance of rights-of-way and swales on public or private property,” is made with the intent to revise the minimum height clearance of overhanging branches from twelve (12) feet to fifteen (15) feet over roadways. By increasing the minimum height clearance of overhanging branches in rights-of-way and swales on public and private property, this amendment improves vehicle and maintenance access, and ensures fire trucks can traverse the road safely. The Town finds this proposed amendment necessary to ensure the public safety of its residents.
