Northampton, MA to Hold First Reading of Order Affecting Short Term Rentals
The Council will consider a Legislature amended c. 64G of the Massachusetts General Laws by adding § 3D (a), which allows communities that have adopted a local room occupancy excise to adopt a community impact fee not to exceed three (3%) percent of the total amount of rent for each transfer of occupancy of a professionally managed short-term rental unit that is located within the City.
