Sarasota County, FL Adopts Ordinance Affecting Street Tree Protection
The Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2008-087, amending Ordinance No. 88-002, as amended and codified in Chapter 98, Article III, Section 98-91 of the County Code, relating to Street Tree Protection to extend the sunset date to September 11, 2009.

Additional information: No Lobbying Registration Fee; anyone is able to speak at meetings during the "Open to the Public" portions at 9am and 1:30pm. You need to fill out a speaker card at the meeting, you have 3 minutes to speak. No special guidelines for meeting with appointed officials outside of meetings, except you can't have a meeting about an issue that the Commission will be voting on at the next meeting.
