St. Cloud, FL Adopts Ordinance Regarding a Moratorium on the Sale of Food, Services or Merchandise from Temporary or Mobile Structures The City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2011-05 relating to the sale of food, services or
merchandise from temporary or mobile structures; adopting findings of fact; providing
definitions; imposing a temporary moratorium on the opening of new temporary or
mobile structures as defined herein; directing staff to develop regulations and restrictions
related to temporary and mobile structures as defined herein; providing for expiration of
the temporary moratorium, which will be in effect until 12/31/11 or until an effective Ordinance that would repeal it and the City adopting subsequent regulations. There is currently minimal regulation related to the use of food trucks, this is giving staff time to draft more restrictions.
