Clay County, FL Adopts Water Conservation Ordinance The St. John's River Water Management District (SJRWMD) is requiring that communities adopt conservation measures as part of their long range planning for future water supplies. The Clay County Utility Authority along with SJRWMD created a conservation plan and adopted watering restrictions. The restrictions in the ordinance (attached below) are identical to those already in place and currently enforced by SJRWMD. This will allow Clay
County to enforce the restrictions as well. The level of enforcement will be at Clay County's discretion, with the Clay County Commission's current policy of enforcement only after receipt of a non-anonymous complaint continuing to apply unless the Commission changes the policy.
