Lauderhill, FL to Consider Resolution Supporting Legislative Support for Bill Affecting Homestead Exemption & Disabled Veterans

The Commission will consider Resolution No. 26r-02-41: A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Lauderhill, Florida, Expressing Support for House Bill 393 and Senate Bill 450 (2026), Which Remove the Limitation on the Value of a Tax Exemption That a Surviving Spouse of a Disabled Veteran May Transfer to a New Homestead Residence And Revising the Dates From Which the Exemption is Granted; Directing the City Clerk to Transmit a Certified Copy of This Resolution to the President of the Florida Senate, the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, and the Broward County Legislative Delegation; and Providing for an Effective Date (Requested by Mayor Denise D. Grant and Commissioner Sarai “ray” Martin).
