Suwannee County, FL to Consider Levy for Local Option Fuel Tax

The Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the enactment of an ordinance to extend and reimpose, through June 30, 2055, the levy of the local option fuel tax upon every gallon of motor fuel and diesel fuel sold in the county and taxed under the provisions of Chapter 206, Florida Statutes, as authorized pursuant to Section 336.025(1)(a), Florida Statutes; providing for the time period said local option fuel tax is to be levied; providing for distribution of the local option fuel tax proceeds; proving notice to the department of revenue; providing for codification; severability, and for an effective date and approval of Interlocal Agreement with the City of Live Oak, and the Town of Branford providing a distribution formula for Local Option Gas Tax.
