Sanibel, FL to Discuss Driveway Separations Ordinance

Staff finds the draft Ordinance will improve viability of redevelopment in Commercial Districts in the wake of Hurricane Ian. Furthermore, Staff finds an amendment to ingress-egress setback requirements for specified land uses will directly address one aspect of concern expressed by commercial stakeholders after Hurricane Ian – that existing restaurants are struggling to find new commercially-zoned locations due a lack of compatible parcels (e.g., proximity to major intersections, lack of available off-street parking).
