Sanibel, FL to Discuss Elevated Swimming Pools

The proposed amendment to eliminate the requirement for elevated swimming pools that are higher than 7-feet above existing grade to be processed as long-form development permit requiring a Planning Commission public hearing was initiated by the Planning Commission’s request to the City Council. Staff finds that the objectives of the section can be achieved administratively through staff review in lieu of requiring a long-form development permit which requires a Planning Commission public hearing. Planning Commission recommended the City Council approve the proposed amendment.
