Alachua County, FL to Consider Equal Split for Joint Infrastructure Surtax Projects

The City of Gainesville is allocated $6 million (taken off the top) from the County’s anticipated Infrastructure Surtax proceeds. All nine cities, including Gainesville, are allocated a portion of an additional $6 million (taken off the top) from the County’s anticipated Infrastructure Surtax proceeds. $3 million will be earmarked for Joint Wild Spaces and Public Places projects and $3 million for Infrastructure projects on a reimbursement, matching, basis. Interlocal agreements will developed once a city/town develops their desired joint project(s) list.
