Gainesville, FL to Consider an Ordinance Affecting Housing Discrimination in the Code

The Commission will Consider Ordinance No. 201088 An ordinance of the City of Gainesville, Florida, amending Chapter 8, Section 8-88, of the Code of Ordinances, relating to prohibition of discrimination in the sale or rental of housing, by adding a provision clarifying prohibitions against discrimination based on "lawful source of income;" providing directions to the codifier; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause; and providing an immediate effective date.
