Pompano Beach, FL adopts moratorium on Development Orders and Permits for conversion of Multi-Family Apartments into Short-Term Rentals

The City Commission adopted Ordinance No. 2017-45 providing for the imposition of a moratorium on the processing of applications and on the issuance of development orders and permits for the conversion of multi-family apartment buildings with five (5) or more units, to short-term rentals; providing for vested rights, appeals, and exhaustion of administrative remedies; providing for a nine (9) month term to be extended if necessary by the city commission; providing for early termination.

Issue History

04/24/17 The City Commission will hold a public hearing and second reading at the 4/25/17 meeting, 5pm.
04/11/17 The City Commission will hold a public hearing and first reading at the 4/11/17 meeting, 6pm.
