Hillsborough County, FL to hold Public Hearing of Resolution to create an Impact Fee Assessment Unit

The County Commission will consider a resolution to create an Impact Fee Assessment Unit under Chapter 106, Hillsborough County Code to implement assessments against each property. This program allows developers, builders and individual private property owners to pay impact fees for new development over a 20-year period. It is estimated that the County will collect a total of $7,847,480.60 over the 20-year period from assessments imposed against the 22 properties in this unit. The collection from the assessments is included in the FY 16 adopted budget for the Water Enterprise Fund.

Issue History
08/16/16 The County Commission will hold a public hearing at the 8/17/16 meeting.
07/19/16 At the 7/20/16 meeting, the County Commission will consider request to schedule public hearing for 8/17/16.
