Miami, FL to consider adoption of Ordinance regarding Local Business Tax and Miscellaneous Business

Regulations/Local Business Tax Enforcement The City Commission will consider an ordinance amending chapter 31/article ii/section 48 of the code of the city of Miami, Florida, as amended ("city code"), entitled "local business tax and miscellaneous business regulations/local business tax ("BTR")/ revocation; suspension", in order to simplify the revocation process and to provide a more efficient and effective process for the revocation and suspension of a BTR; further amending chapter 31/ article ii/section 49 of the city code, entitled "local business tax and miscellaneous business regulations/local business tax ("BTR")/BTR enforcement", to provide for a more effective and efficient enforcement process.

Additional information: The Lobbyist Registration form is available here. Lobbyists shall pay all registration fees ($525.00 annually, plus $105.00 for each principal represented and for each issue a lobbyist has been retained to lobby on behalf of any one principal), and specifically define the issue for which they are employed. The Clerk shall reject any statement which does not detail the issue for which the lobbyist has been employed. Each lobbyist, within 60 days after registering as a lobbyist, shall submit a certificate of completion of an ethics course provided by the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics & Public Trust or City of Miami.
