Escambia County, FL to hold Discussion of the Community Resiliency Initiative Pilot Project to Develop a Coastal Hazards Vulnerability Assessment

The County Commission will consider an agreement with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity for a Community Resiliency Initiative Pilot Project to Develop a Coastal Hazards Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan for Escambia County - Keith T. Wilkins, Director, Department of Natural Resources ManagementThat the Board take the following action concerning an Agreement (Number F1128) with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) for a Community Resiliency Initiative Pilot Project to develop a Coastal Hazards Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan for Escambia County:A. Approve the Agreement (Number F1128) with the Florida DEO for a Community Resiliency Initiative Pilot Project to develop a Coastal Hazards Vulnerability Assessment and Adaptation Plan for Escambia County; andB. Authorize the Chairman to sign the Agreement and any other subsequent Agreement-related documents, including no-cost extensions, pending Legal review and approval, without further action from the Board.

Additional information: Citizens wishing to speak at public forum will be heard beginning at 4:30 p.m., immediately prior to the regular Board of County Commissioners Meeting which begins at 5:30 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month in the following manner: Each speaker will be allotted three minutes, unless otherwise determined by the Chairman. Public forum is intended for matters not included on the agenda for the meeting. Citizens wishing to address items on the agenda should sign up to speak to such item at the regular Board of County Commissioners meeting. At the Chairman's discretion, public forum may end at 5:25 p.m. to allow the regular Board of County Commissioners' meeting to commence on time.
