The Council will consider Ordinance No. 5794 An ordinance of the City of Boca Raton amending Chapter 19,“Buildings and Building Regulations,” Article IV, “Inspections andConstruction Requirements,” Division 1, “Inspections,” Section 19-162, “Building Recertification Inspection Program,” Code ofOrdinances, to ensure consistency of the City’s BuildingRecertification Inspection Program with Building RecertificationRequirements in State law, clarifying that uninhabitable buildingstories are included for purposes of determining whether a building issubject to recertification, amending required deadlines for submittalof recertification reports and permitting and completion of requiredrepairs, providing for extension requests of such deadlines, andclarifying technical submittal requirements; providing for severability;providing for repealer; providing for codification; providing aneffective date (AM-26-02)
