Miami, FL Adopts Ordinance Regarding Local Business Tax and Miscellaneous Business Regulations/Convenience Store Security
The City Commission adopted an ordinance of the amending chapter 31/article III, of the code of the city of Miami, Florida, as amended, entitled "Local Business Tax and Miscellaneous Business Regulations/Convenience Store Security," more particularly by repealing sections 31-76 through 31-78 and replaced it with new language that is consistent with applicable Florida Statutes.

Additional information: The Lobbyist Registration form is available here. Lobbyists shall pay all registration fees ($525.00 annually, plus $105.00 for each principal represented and for each issue a lobbyist has been retained to lobby on behalf of any one principal), and specifically define the issue for which they are employed. The Clerk shall reject any statement which does not detail the issue for which the lobbyist has been employed. Each lobbyist, within 60 days after registering as a lobbyist, shall submit a certificate of completion of an ethics course provided by the Miami-Dade County Commission on Ethics & Public Trust or City of Miami.
